THE ANGLICAN DEFENSE FUND: KEEPING THE CANDLE BURNING FOR BIBLICAL TRUTH

The ANGLICAN DEFENSE FUND (ADF) is a nonprofit religious corporation dedicated to the defense of Biblical truth and preservation of the historic Anglican faith.  ADF provides support and funding for those persecuted by The Episcopal Church for their orthodox Anglican beliefs such as the Diocese of San Joaquin and Bishop John-David Schofield. The Episcopal Church has committed itself to a path that is irreconcilable with God's word and the Anglican faith.  The Episcopal Church is prosecuting lawsuits throughout the country to seize the places of worship of those who oppose it.  Cathedrals, parishes and missions where Biblical truth and morality are observed are under attack.

Your tax deductible donation through ADF will assist the Diocese of San Joaquin, and others, to defend against actions by The Episcopal Church to confiscate property that is dedicated to propagating God's holy Word and Sacraments.

The Eternal Candle:  As Bishop Hugh Latimer was being burned at stake on October 16, 1555, in Oxford, England, for remaining a faithful Anglican he shouted to fellow bishop Nicholas Ridley, also being burned at stake for his faith, "Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light such a candle by God's grace in England as (I trust) shall never be put out."

Greetings in the name of our Lord and only Savior Jesus Christ!  On December 8, 2007, the Diocese of San Joaquin was forced to make the painful decision to leave The Episcopal Church.  This drastic action was necessary because The Episcopal Church failed to heed years of warnings from all quarters of Christendom to turn back from false teaching and to accept Holy Scripture as the supreme authority for life.

Separation is the Biblical answer in the face of  unrepentant and public false teaching and immorality. If anyone comes to you bringing a different doctrine, you must not receive him in your house or even give him a greeting.  To greet him would make you a partner is his wicked work. (2 John 1:10-11.  See also, Matt. 8:17, 1 Cor. 5:11-13, Gal. 1:8, 2 Thess. 3:6, Rev. 2:20.)

However, separation from The Episcopal Church will not be easy or inexpensive because the Church will file lawsuits in the civil courts to seize property that belongs to the Diocese and its parishes.  The Episcopal Church is currently involved in lawsuits around the country and has unlimited funds with which to bring legal action against those who disagree with it. We need to protect ourselves and the work God is doing in San Joaquin but we cannot match the resources of The Episcopal Church.  Friends from outside the Diocese of San Joaquin as well as Christians from different denominations have stated a desire and have already begun to send us funds in support of our stance for Biblical truth and to protect us from the inevitable litigation to come.  We are grateful for both your prayers and support.  The ANGLICAN DEFENSE FUND has been established to receive contributions.  Your donations in any amount will help to protect us and further God's work in the Diocese.  May God bless you and be with you.
The Anglican Defense Fund is a nonprofit corporation and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
